29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1):The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  a) On or about June 27, 2023, at the previously addressed inspection site, employees operating pneumatic nailers did not use eye protection (safety glasses) exposing employees to eye hazards from flying particles and objects.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13):Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b).  a) On or about June 27, 2023, at the previously addressed inspection site, employees framing and installing trusses at heights six feet or more above lower levels were not protected from falls and hazards associated with falls to the lower levels.  Rustic Ridge Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1601774, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 11-16-2022, with respect to a workplace located at Lot 142 Longview Parkway, Sun Prairie, WI 53590.

29 CFR  1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.   a) On or about June 27, 2023, at the previously addressed inspection site, employees exposed to falls and hazards associated with falls while framing and installing trusses at heights six feet or above below lower levels were not provided a training program to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize those hazards.
