29 CFR 1910.22(a)(3): The employer did not ensure that walking-working surfaces are maintained free of hazards such as sharp or protruding objects, loose boards, corrosion, leaks, spills, snow, and ice. a.) Hillandale Gettysburg, LP dba Hillandale Farms - Atlantic - On or about 7/6/23, and at times prior thereto, a wire ran into front of the chicken coops and were approximately 3 inches from the floor. A trip hazard was created when the mats that were laid over the wire as a guarding device were removed. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.145(c)(2)(i): Caution signs were not used to warn against potential hazards or to caution against unsafe practices: a.) Hillandale Gettysburg, LP dba Hillandale Farms - Atlantic - On or about 7/6/23, and at times prior thereto, a wire ran into front of the chicken coops and were approximately 3 inches from the floor. A caution sign had not been erected to warn personnel of the trip hazard when the mat was removed from on top of the wire. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
