29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On or about 7/10/2023 at a roof project located at 1331 N. Forest Road, Building C, Amherst, New York; employees were replacing the roof of a three story apartment building. The roof had an 4 in 12 pitch and an eave height of approximately 24 feet. There was no fall protection in use. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.502(d)(16)(iii): Personal fall arrest systems, when stopping a fall, were not rigged such that an employee could not free fall more than 6 feet (1.8 m) nor contact any lower level: a) On or about 7/10/2023 at a roof project located at 1331 N. Forest Road, Building C, Amherst, New York; employees were replacing the roof of a three story apartment building. Employees were using ropes with rope grabs attached to their harnesses. The employees did not have their rope grabs adjusted or rigged to prevent free falls more than 6 feet. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
