29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury: a. Roof area located at 7778 Calvin Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32208: On or about July 20, 2023, the employer exposed employees to eye injuries caused by airborne debris and flying objects, in that eye protection was not utilized by employee, while using a pneumatic nail gun to shingle the roof. Ron Russell Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1604607, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on September 2, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 1317 W 30th Street, Jacksonville, FL 32209.

On the roof of a residence, at a temporary worksite located at 7778 Calvin Street in Jacksonville, Florida 32208: On or about July 20, 2023, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards ranging up to 21-foot, in that fall protection was not utilized by employees while installing roof shingles on a 6:12 pitch roof. Ron Russell Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1604607, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on September 2, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 1317 W 30th Street, Jacksonville, FL 32209.
