29 CFR  1926.351(b)(2):Welding cable(s) in use were not free from improper repair or splices for a minimum distance of 10 feet from the cable end to which the electrode holder was connected:  a)      NGIC Rivanna Station: On or about 08/02/2023, an employee used a welding cable that had multiple exposed copper wires and tape repairs to the outer jacket within 10ft of the electrode holder, as a result employee was exposed to a possible shock hazard.  The Virginia Steel Erectors, Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.351(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1417700, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 06, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at the National Guard Readiness Center Fort Belvoir VA.  No abatement certification or documentation required.

29 CFR 1904.41(a)(2): Annual electronic submission of OSHA Form 300A Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses by establishments with 20 or more employees but fewer than 250 employees in designated industries. If your establishment had 20 or more employees but fewer than 250 employees at any time during the previous calendar year, and your establishment is classified in an industry listed in appendix A to subpart E of this part, then you must electronically submit information from OSHA Form 300A Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses to OSHA or OSHA's designee. You must submit the information once a year, no later than the date listed in paragraph (c) of this section of the year after the calendar year covered by the form:  Located at the 7716 Jefferson Davis Hwy, North Chesterfield, VA 23237: On or about 08/02/2023, the employer failed during calendar year 2023, to electronically submit information from their OSHA Form 300A or equivalent by March 02, 2023.  a). The establishment employed 55 employees and is classified 238220 during calendar year 2022.  The Virginia Steel Erectors, Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 904.41(a)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1598577, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on September 15, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at the Joint Langley Eustis Base in Newport News VA.   Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
