29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):  One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  (a)  Machine Shop:  On or about August 15, 2023 and times prior to, employees operate a Jet 15" floor drill press (Model J-2500 - Stock 354400 - Serial No 16050218) during the fabrication of truck trailers.  The employer did not provide adequate machine guarding for the rotating chuck of the Jet drill press exposing employees to a caught by hazard.  (b) Machine Shop:  On or about August 15, 2023 and times prior to, employees operated a Cincinnati 500 HS x 12 ft shear press during the fabrication of truck trailers for a variety of uses.  The Cincinnati shear press was not adequately guarded to protect employees from the machine hold-downs exposing employees to a caught by hazard.
