Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  a) On or about 08/17/2023, during the erection of a commercial building , located on  140 South Union Street, in Spencerport, New York, the employer did not enforce the use of fall protection when employees were constructing the building framework of the upper floor joist and subflooring.  Employees were allowed to work along unprotected sides, 14 feet above lower levels, without fall protection and were exposed to fall hazards.  NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
