29 CFR 1910.132(e): The employer did not ensure that employees were not using defective or damaged personal protective equipment in the workplace. Kitchen: On or before August 29, 2023, an employee used a torn oven mitt during the use of the Pizza Oven where high heat was encountered when removing food. The employer had not removed the torn mitt from use which potentially exposed the employee to dermal burns.
