29 CFR 1910.134(h)(2)(i):Respirators were not stored to protect them from damage, contamination, dust, sunlight, extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, and damaging chemicals or were not packed or stored to prevent deformation of the facepiece and exhalation valve: (a) Welding stations throughout the facility and lockers - On or about August 30th, 2023 air purifying respirators (Lincoln Electric Viking 3350 Welding Helmets) were stored unprotected from damage, contamination, and dust. Respirators used for welding on stainless steel were stored on hooks as well as within dirty lockers with visible contamination. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
