29 CFR  1910.136(a):The employer did not ensure that protective footwear is used where employees are exposed to foot injuries due to falling or rolling objects, or objects piercing sole:  a.)	Humphrey Charcoal Corporation, Briquette room area, On or about August 31st, 2023, and times prior thereto:  Some employees were potentially exposed to foot injuries while walking in sandals through the briquette room during production operations.  Equipment including, but not limited to, powered industrial vehicles, and rolling pallet jacks/trucks were in operations when employees were walking through the area with inadequate foot protection.   ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below).  This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR  1910.303(b)(1): Electrical equipment was not free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees:   a.)	Humphrey Charcoal Corporation, Restroom facility, On or about August 31st, 2023, and times prior thereto:  Employees were exposed to electrical shock hazards associated with an electrical light switch in the restroom area of the facility.  The breaker box associated with the light switch had malfunctioned sending current back through to the switch.  Employees had received electrical shocks during the use of the switch.   ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below).  This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

Humphrey Charcoal Corporation, Restroom facility, On or about August 31st, 2023, and times prior thereto:  Employees were potentially exposed to electrical shock hazards, in that, the service-drop conductors outside of the restroom facility were below 10 feet from the ground level. Humphrey Charcoal Corporation, Restroom facility, On or about August 31st, 2023, and times prior thereto:  Employees were potentially exposed to electrical shock hazards, in that, the wooden support for the service-drop conductors outside of the restroom facility was deteriorated/leaning and supported by a metal pipe.
