29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   a) On or about September 14, 2023, at a worksite located at 2601 30th Street NE, Washington, DC, the employer did not provide employees with fall protection where they were exposed to a fall distance  estimated at 30 feet while conducting housekeeping in preparation for framing work.  b) On or about September 14, 2023, at a worksite located at 2601 30th Street NE, Washington, DC, the employer failed to install railing around the floor access level exposing the employees to a fall distance estimated at 10 feet to the lower level while accessing the platforms.   In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
