The employer did not ensure a 9-gallon, 135 psi air compressor with moving parts was protected while in use. Employees were exposed to caught in-between hazards from the moving belt and pulleys.

29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents: On October 4, 2023, employees of Fernando Flores dba: Fernando Flores were performing roofing work on a residential building located at 453/455 Kaylene Drive in Wentzville, Missouri. The employer did not ensure employees operating Metabo HPT, NV45AB2 pneumatic nail guns were wearing eye protection. Employees were using pneumatic nail guns installing shingles without eye protection, exposing themselves to struck-by hazards. Fernando Flores dba, Fernando Flores was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1559159, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 10, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 776 Ryan Lane in Foristell, Missouri.
