29 CFR  1926.501(b)(10):Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system.   (a) 429 Kralltown Rd, Wellsville, PA, barn roof:  On or about October 19, 2023, employees were engaged in roofing activities on a 3/12 pitch barn roof, 18 feet above grade, without a fall protection system.  Waggoner Construction Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR  1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1572276, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 6, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 116 North Blettner Avenue, Hanover, PA.  Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
