29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i): This standard is applicable to construction employment as defined by 1926.602(d): The employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator was competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l):  The employer is failing to protect employees from struck-by hazards associated with forklift operation. This was most recently documented on October 23, 2023 at 16201 Ida Street, Omaha, Nebraska. The employer failed to ensure employees that operated forklifts received training and evaluation on forklift operation.  Quiroz Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.178(l), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1630202, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 20, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 11877 Ball Parkway, Papillion, Nebraska 68046.  Quiroz Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.178(l), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1618371, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 25, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 18748 Bedford Avenue, Elkhorn, Nebraska 68022.
