The employer does not require the use of any form of fall protection during  framing and sheathing work when those activities take place 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels. This violation was most recently observed on or about October 24, 2023, at 6653 Wagners Vineyard Trail, Sun Prairie, WI, where four employees working from a residential roof with unprotected sides, edges and holes not protected from fall hazards greater than 6 feet, and up to 21 feet to the ground. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that its employees performing framing and sheathing work are protected from falls, and that no employee is allowed onto a roof more than 6 feet high without adequate fall protection.  GL Construction of Madison LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1591017, citation number 1, item number 5 and was affirmed as a final order on August 28, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 4671-4683 Bellflower Drive, De Forest, WI 53532.
