29 CFR 1926.701(b):Reinforcing steel. All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and into which employees could fall, shall be guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement. (a) On or about 10/27/23, during the rehabilitation of the the main street bridge located in Brockport, New York, the employer did not enforce the use of protective caps on protruding rebar, when employees were jackhammering the surface of a concrete wall. Employees were exposed to impalement hazards. NO ABATEMENT CERIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(9):The area around the top and bottom of ladders shall be kept clear. (a) On or about 10/27/23, during the rehabilitation of the the main street bridge located in Brockport, New York, the employer did not enforce safe ladder usage, when a 4 inch water pump was placed at the bottom of a portable ladder obstructing safe dismounting during use to access a lower platform. Employees were exposed to lower leg injuries such as but not limited to bruising, cuts, sprains or falling. NO ABATEMENT CERIFICATION REQUIRED
