29 CFR 1928.57(a)(6): At the time of initial assignment and at least annually thereafter, the employer did not instruct every employee in the safe operation and servicing of all covered equipment with which he was or would be involved: a. Rindler Poultry, LLC located at 5424 Watkins Road, Saint Henry, Ohio 45883, On or about December 31, 2023, the employer did not effectively instruct employees in the safe operation and maintenance of equipment to include but not limited to conveyors. Employees performing operational and service tasks (sanitation) on the aforementioned equipment were not equipped with the information necessary to identify and avoid hazards associated with machine guarding and energy control.

29 CFR 1928.57(a)(7): The employer did not protect employees from coming into contact with hazards created by moving machinery: a. Rindler Poultry, LLC located at 5424 Watkins Road, Saint Henry, Ohio 45883, On or about December 31, 2023, the employer did not effectively guard the rotating spindles of the of the Optipacker 600's basket conveyor. Employees preparing for sanitation duties in proximity of the unguarded rotating spindles were exposed to entanglement hazards.
