29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about January 30, 2024, on the roof of a single story commercial building, employees were performing roofing work activities from a height more than six (6) feet with their personal fall arrest systems not connected to the vertical life lines or was not in use of fall protection. Castro Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1503249, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on May 28, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 508 Manor Hill Court, Norman, OK 73072.
