29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the AVB core assembly area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Adams Thermal Systems, Inc., 47920 5th Street West, Canton, SD 57013: On or about and at times prior to February 5, 2024, the employer did not ensure that adequate guarding was in place on the ISX 4 Core Assembly Machine (at the back of the machine) in the AVB core assembly area of the facility. This condition exposed employees to caught-in and amputation hazards associated with the inadequate guarding.
