29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Finishing Department: On or about March 6, 2024, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to pinch hazards, in that a guard or barrier was not in place at the adjustable rotating roal-coater rollers section of the machinery while employees operated the Cefla Compact Flooring System; MODEL CFS2S2W2B, Serial No. 12118 to perform manufactured wood flooring finishing activities.
