29 CFR 1926.403(b)(1): Employer did not ensure that electrical equipment is free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a) New single-family residential construction located at 598 Crystal Lake Parkway (Lot# 643 Twin Lakes Subdivision) Hoschton, GA 30548 Ground Area: On or about 3/7/2024, the employer exposed employees to potential electrical shock hazards in that an inspection of all electrical equipment in use was not inspected prior to utilizing. The flexible cord being used to supply power to the ROLAIR air compressor had a missing grounding pin. b) New single-family residential construction located at 598 Crystal Lake Parkway (Lot# 643 Twin Lakes Subdivision) Hoschton, GA 30548 Ground Area: On or about 3/7/2024, the employer exposed employees to potential electrical shock hazards in that an inspection of all electrical equipment in use was not inspected prior to utilizing. The flexible cord being used to supply power to the ROLAIR air compressor had a missing or broken strain relief. c) New single-family residential construction located at 598 Crystal Lake Parkway (Lot# 643 Twin Lakes Subdivision) Hoschton, GA 30548 Ground Area: On or about 3/7/2024, the employer exposed employees to potential electrical shock hazards in that an inspection of all electrical equipment in use was not inspected prior to utilizing. The pressure switch cover was missing from the ROLAIR air compressor exposing the electrical terminals powering the equipment.

B&O Martinez Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1718628, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 02/21/2024, with respect to a workplace located at 903 Bloomcrest Dr. Lot 57 Lawrenceville, GA 30045.
