29 CFR  1910.106(h)(8)(iii): Combustible waste material and residues in a building or operating area were not kept to a minimum and/or disposed of daily.     a) Screen Printing Area - On or about 3/20/2024, and at times prior, employees were exposed to fire hazards in that, the employer failed to ensure that combustible waste materials and residues were stored in closed metal waste cans and disposed of daily. Employee operating the print screening machine was not discarding rags with flammable liquid such as, but not limited to, ICC 8265, used to clean the screens, on a closed metal waste can.

29 CFR  1910.252(b)(2)(iii):Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not protected from the rays by noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields:  a) Machine shop area- On or about 3/20/2024, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to health hazards associated with arc welding ray when employees were performing TIG welding operations when other employees adjacent to the welding area were not protected from the rays by flameproof screens or shields.

29 CFR  1910.134(k)(6): The employer did not provide the basic advisory information on respirators, as presented in Appendix D of 29 CFR 1910.134, in written or oral format to employees who wear respirators when such use was not required by the employer:  a) Screen Printing Area - On or about 3/20/2024 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to respiratory hazards in that, the employer failed to ensure that information contained in appendix D of Respiratory Protection Program was provided to employees permitted to use 3M NIOSH Half-Mask respirators voluntary while working at the worksite.

29 CFR  1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:  a) Throughout the facility - On or about 3/20/2024, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to chemical hazards in that, the employer failed to ensure that effective information and training was provide to employees working with the hazardous chemicals such as, but not limited to, ICC 8265, and Silicone Econo-Spray.  B&G Equipment Company, INC. (DE) was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR  1910.1200(h)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1567787, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 7/20/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 135 Region South Dr., Jackson, GA 30233.
