OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by and crush-by hazards when utilizing steel storage rack systems having the following deficiencies: a) At VRC Companies, located at 2901 East 10th Avenue, Tampa, Florida: On or about March 26, 2024, the employer exposed workers to struck-by and crush-by hazards, in that, the metal racking systems had not been secured properly to the concrete floor.

29 CFR 1910.28(b)(2)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee in a hoist area is protected from falling 4 feet (1.2 m) or more to a lower level by one of the systems listed in 29 CFR 1910.28(b)(2)(i)(A)-(C). a) At VRC Companies, located at 2901 East 10th Avenue, Tampa, FL: On or about March 26, 2024, employees were exposed to fall hazards of 15-foot while stacking and wrapping pallets on elevated levels of the metal racking system, without the use of a fall protection system. The VRC Companies, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.28(b)(2)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1635910, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 3/8/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 3827 Brookham Drive, Grove City, OH 43123.
