29 CFR 1910.134(h)(2)(i): Respirators were not stored to protect them from damage, contamination, dust, sunlight, extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, and damaging chemicals or were not packed or stored to prevent deformation of the facepiece and exhalation valve: a) Gerber Collision (Colorado) Inc.: On or about April 10, 2024, and at times prior, employees were provided with tight-fitting respirators to wear while performing painting, welding, and auto body repair operations. The employer did not ensure all employees were provided with airtight containers or bags to protect their respirators from further contamination.

29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii): Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not required to wear appropriate goggles to protect them from the rays when noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields were not used: a) Gerber Collision & Glass: On or about April 10, 2024, and at times prior, employees were exposed to UV light produced from welding operations. The employer did not ensure affected employees were provided with the appropriate eye protection or that welding operations were appropriately guarded by the use of screens or shields.
