OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees engaged in service and maintenance activities:   On or before May 2, 2024, the employer did not ensure maintenance mechanic employees engaging in service and maintenance activities of the press 6 billet loader machine applied and followed the established energy control procedure by; turning off or shutting down the machine, isolating the electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic energy sources, affixing lockout devices, or verifying de-energization and isolation had been accomplished, prior to inspecting, adjusting, and/or unjamming the billet loader machine through the opening in the machine's perimeter fence guarding.   To abate this item, Respondent will retrain authorized maintenance employees and maintenance supervisors at the worksite on LOTO, with emphasis on how to test and position machines as required by 1910.147(f)(1).
