29 CFR 1926.34(a):Building or structure exits were not so arranged and maintained as to provide free and unobstructed egress from all parts of the building or structure at all times when it was occupied: location: crane access area on or about: 5/15/24 a) The crane area had guardrails around it. The crane operator had to climb over the guardrails in order to get in and out of the crane area. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.1413(a)(1):29 CFR 1926.1413(a)(1): A competent person did not begin a visual inspection prior to each shift the equipment is used and/or did not complete the visual inspection before or during that shift: location: layout area on or about: 5/15/24 a) A wire rope pendant, used as part of the tower crane rigging, had a tag that was not legible. The pendant was not taken out of service. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
