29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying objects while using a nail gun. On or about May 23, 2024, at the previously addressed inspection site, two employees were observed using pneumatic nail guns without appropriate eye protection and were exposed to flying particle hazards. The Garcia Projects LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (name previously cited standard), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1682383, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 29, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 3626 Raleigh Road lot 86 Middleton WI 53562.
