29 CFR  1926.100(a):Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, shall be protected by protective helmets.  a)  On or about 05/17/24, at 3 University Commons, (RIT Campus Housing) in Rochester, New York,  the employer did not enforce the use of head protection (hard hat), for employees working under a roof "tear off" and installation project, where roofing materials were falling to the ground level.  Employees were allowed to collect and pickup scrap roofing materials for disposal during the roof tear off.  Employees were exposed to overhead hazards.   NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
