Listed or labeled equipment shall be installed and used in accordance with any instructions included in the listing or labeling. 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: Pillar J8: On and/or before June 5th, 2024, flexible cords were used as a substitute for permanent power to power equipment in the following location(s): a) Pillar G3 to RBUS machine: one orange extension cord was plugged into a blue extension cord which supplied power to a relocatable power tap, an HP computer, HP monitor, and scanning device. b) Pillar J8: a blue extension cord was plugged into outlet RP9J-2 which was wrapped around the pillar feed on top a circuit breaker panel and metal cart which supplied power to an Airmaster fan. Employee(s) were potentially exposed to electrical-shock and/or fire hazard(s). The U.S Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1581592, citation number 1, item number 6A and was affirmed as a final order on 06-02-2022, with respect to a workplace located at 24760 South Main Street Carson, CA 90745.
