MAINTENANCE SHOP: On or about May 19, 2024, an employee who assisted in the installation of a high voltage Uninterruptible Power Supply was exposed to electrical hazards where rubber insulating gloves were not subjected to periodic voltage tests. Desert Diamond Casino and Entertainment was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1613040, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 11/17/2022.

29 CFR 1910.151(c):Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a) EMPLOYEE DINING ROOM: On June 28, 2024, and at times prior to, employees worked with corrosive chemicals such as ECOLAB Sink and Surface Cleaner Sanitizer and a suitable eyewash was not available for flushing, exposing employees to eye injuries in the event of contact. b) MAIN KITCHEN: On June 28, 2024, and at times prior to, employees worked with corrosive chemicals such as ECOLAB Sink and Surface Cleaner Sanitizer and a suitable eyewash was not available for flushing, exposing employees to eye injuries in the event of contact. c) DIAMOND KITCHEN: On June 28, 2024, and at times prior to, employees worked with corrosive chemicals such as ECOLAB Sink and Surface Cleaner Sanitizer and a suitable eyewash was not available for flushing, exposing employees to eye injuries in the event of contact. d) AGAVE KITCHEN: On June 28, 2024, and at times prior to, employees worked with corrosive chemicals such as ECOLAB Sink and Surface Cleaner Sanitizer and a suitable eyewash was not available for flushing, exposing employees to eye injuries in the event of contact.
