At the jobsite located at 14405 W. 74th St., Shawnee Kansas, employees engaged in residential re-roofing activities with the use of pneumatic nail guns were exposed to struck-by hazards, in that eye protection was not utilized.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. At the jobsite located at 14405 W. 74th St., Shawnee Kansas, employees engaged in residential re-roofing activities were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 11 feet 7 inches from the roof to the ground below in that fall protection was not utilized on a 14 pitch roof.
