29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about August 6, 2024, it was documented that employees engaged in press brake activities in the press brake area of Kinney Manufacturing, LLC dba IntoMetal located at 3240 North 33rd Street, Lincoln, Nebraska, were exposed to amputation hazards in that the employer did not ensure employees were protected from nip points while handling small parts restruck on the Bystronic Hydraulic Press Brake XPert 80/1530 using the Rolla-V, gen 2 die.
