29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.   a)  On August 23, 2024, employees performing masonry work were exposed to fall hazards of at least to 20 feet and were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.  United Builders Group Co. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1507562, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on October 20, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 4214 W. Belmont Ave. Chicago, IL 60641.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
