The Hercules Angle Grinder was designed to accommodate a guard, and one was not used when it was utilized to cut the sanitary line. 29 CFR  1926.405(a)(2)(ii)(I): Flexible cords and cables used for temporary wiring were not protected from damage:  a) On or about September 30, 2024, the employer did not ensure that all flexible cords used for temporary wiring, including the extension cord suppling power to the Hercules 4 ?" Heavy Duty Angle Grinder, Model HE61S, were protected from damage.  The extension cord was run over an active roadway that was traveled by large commercial vehicles and showed signs of damage.
