29 CFR 1910.132(a):Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: (a)Washroom - Employees were not provided with proper protective equipment when exposed to potential burn hazards from hot water when cleaning gelatin melting tanks. An employee sustained bodily burns when exposed to hot water; disposable gown worn did not provide adequate protection, on or about October 1, 2024. The IcelanDirect LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.132(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1738128, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on (date), with respect to a workplace located at 93 Entin Road Clifton, NJ 07014.
