29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladder(s) were used for purposes other than the purpose for which they were designed: a- Rear, Lower Pitched Roof, 261 - 265 Lewis Fisher Drive, Ewing NJ: A worker was exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 21 feet 6 inches, when working from a closed A-framed ladder (resting against the exterior wall of a residential structure) while one set of its feet were resting, unsecured, on a residential structure's pitched lower roof. Condition observed on or about 10/03/24. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
