The employer did not ensure employees working on the ground level to clean up roofing debris were provided and utilized protective helmets when exposed to falling objects from above. Olek Contracting LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.100(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1701940, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on February 29, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 1242 Peruque Ridge Drive in Wentzville, Missouri.

The employer did not ensure employees working on a residential rooftop approximately 14 feet above the lower level installing a roofing system were not protected from falling to the lower level.
