29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a) Power Coating Booth: On or about October 17, 2024, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to chemical hazards, in that effective training was not provided for employees using chemicals, such as, but not limited to carbon black, limestone, titanium dioxide, barium sulfate and quartz contained in materials used for powder coating in their native language.

29 CFR 1910.134(c): The employer did not develop and implement a written respiratory protection program with required worksite-specific procedures and elements for required respirator use: a) Sand Blasting Containment Booth: On or about October 17, 2024, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to respiratory hazards, in that, a written respiratory protection program with the required worksite-specific procedures was not developed and the components of the available program was not implemented for employees required by the employer to wear airline supplied respirators while performing sand blasting operations on metal. b) Power Coating Booth: On or about October 17, 2024, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to upper respiratory irritation, in that, a written respiratory protection program with the required worksite-specific procedures was not developed and the components of the available program was not implemented for employees required by the employer to wear Honeywell RU6500 Series Full-Face Particulate Respirators while performing powder coating operations. c) Production Floor/ Warehouse (Part Hanging Area): On or about October 17, 2024, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to upper respiratory irritation, in that, a written respiratory protection program with the required worksite-specific procedures was not developed and the components of the available program was not implemented for employees required by the employer to wear Honeywell RU6500 Series Full-Face Particulate Respirators while performing part hanging operations.
