29 CFR 1910.37(a)(4): Safeguard(s) designed to protect employees during an emergency (e.g., sprinkler systems, alarm systems, fire doors, exit lighting), were not in proper working order at all times. On October 22, 2024, and at times prior thereto, the emergency door release in the walk-in freezer BKFZ1-17, System #2, was seized up / frozen. It did not release the door lock when pushed. Employees were potentially exposed to obstructed exit doors which could result in injuries during an emergency.
