29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) At the RTC Grinding Transfer Auger: On or about October 21, 2024, employees were exposed to caught-in hazards in that, the employer failed to ensure the space under the screw and above the scale was guarded in such a manner as to prevent employees from reaching into the point of operation at the screw.
