29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: Site: 164 Jessup Ave, Mastic beach, NY 11951. On or about 11/15/2025, Employees installing the floor joists for the second floor of a two-story commercial building were exposed to falling approximately 11ft while working on the edge of the second floor. Note: In addition to abatement certification the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
