29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  (a) On or about December 9, 2024, employees starting up the Shapes Pultrusion Line were exposed to caught-in and crushing hazards created by the automatic pullers. The employer did not ensure puller one and puller two dies were properly guarded.   (b) On or about December 9, 2024, employees removing finished product from the saw on the Shapes Pultrusion Line were exposed to caught-in and crushing hazards from the product hold down and the point of operation of the saw where the material was cut which were not properly guarded.  The Gund Company, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1486521, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on September 24, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 809 Philip Drive, Waukesha, WI 53186.
