29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a) Atkore International Inc. located at or near 11500 Norcom Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154 - On or about December 12, 2024, employees were not provided effective information and training on the hazardous chemicals used in their work areas. Employees performing welding activities are exposed to chemicals, including but not limited to: -Chromium, zinc, and iron combustible dusts, as contained in Ryerson Carbon and Alloy Steels. -Argon and carbon dioxide, as contained in Praxair StarGold C10, C15, C18, C20, C25, C40, C50 Shielding Gas Mixtures. -Aluminum, silicon, and zinc combustible dusts, as contained in Ryerson Aluminum Alloys. -etc.

29 CFR 1910.1026(l)(1)(iii): The employer did not include chromium (VI) in the hazard communication program established to comply with the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS), and did not train employees in accordance with the requirements of the HCS and paragraph (l)(2) of this section: a) Atkore International Inc. located at or near 11500 Norcom Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154 - On or about December 12, 2024, the employer did not include chromium (VI) in the hazard communication program, and did not provide employees with information and training on the hazards of chromium (VI) while performing welding activities. Employees are exposed to chromium (VI) while performing welding activities on metals such as, but not limited to carbon steel and alloy steel.
