29 CFR 1910.252(a)(2)(vii): Where practicable, combustible materials were not relocated at least 35 feet (10.7 m) from the cutting or welding operation work site. Location: Job site; On or about 01/14/2025, an employee was permitted to perform cutting, grinding, or other spark-producing hot work on a hydraulic shear (concrete muncher) attachment for an excavator. This activity took place approximately 19 feet from a 55-gallon drum of oil, resulting in a combustion hazard due to the proximity of flammable materials to hot work operations.
