29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles.  At a structure under construction located at Lots 1430 and 1432 SW Winthrop Terrace, Lee's Summit, MO, employees were exposed to struck by hazards to their face and eyes.  The employer exposed the employees to these hazards by allowing them to utilize a pneumatic nail gun without the use of eye protection while performing roofing work.    M&A Roofing KC LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1542911, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/13/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 5423 N Platte Purchase Dr, Kansas City, MO 64151.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13):Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):  At a structure under construction located at Lots 1430 and 1432 SW Winthrop Terrace, Lee's Summit, MO, employees were exposed to fall hazards.  The employer exposed the employees to these hazards by allowing them to work at heights greater than 6 feet without the use of fall protection. The employer exposed the employees to these hazards by allowing them to use a ladder to access an upper landing surface while the ladder's side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above the level to which it was being used to gain access.
