Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR  1910.307(c): Equipment, wiring methods, and installations of equipment in hazardous (classified) locations were not intrinsically safe, approved for the hazardous (classified) location, or safe for the hazardous (classified) location:   a.) 8 Barnhart Drive, Hanover, PA - Woodworking Department - On or about February 20, 2025, Class II dust associated with the woodworking operations was identified and electrical equipment in that area, including, but not limited to, electrical disconnects, electrical panels, electrical receptacles, and cord and plug equipment (shop vacuums), was not rated for Class II environments.  b.) 8 Barnhart Drive, Hanover, PA - Woodworking Department - On or about February 20, 2025, the employer used PVC ductwork, capable of generating a static discharge, attached to portable vacuums and to the enclosureless dust collection system, to capture and transport wood dust (a Class II combustible dust).  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
