29 CFR 1910.145(c)(3): Safety instruction signs. Safety instruction signs shall be used where there is a need for general instructions and suggestions relative to safety measures. On or about February 12, 2025, at an establishment located at 3805 North Freedom Road, Appleton, WI , the employer did not ensure safety signs were placed around, and beneath, leaking junctions of Clean-In-Place (CIP) Pipes in the Cheese Vat area, String area, Cooker Mezzanine, COP Tank area and Molder areas to alert employees to the hazard of hot water and caustic material leaking from pipes, exposing employees to chemical and thermal burns.
