29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by rotating parts, a) 500 Lincoln Street, York, PA 17401 - an employee was operating a G&L, Vertical Boring Mill, #1013, without guarding to prevent the machine operator from working within 6 inches of the mill's 12 foot rotating table during the operating cycle, on or about March 20, 2025. Abatement certification required within 15 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point of operation guards were not designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of their body in the danger zone during the operating cycle: a) 500 Lincoln Street, York, PA 17401 - Employees were exposed to unguarded machinery due to missing inter-lock components, permitting employees to bypass the machine's guarding while it is in operation on the Gantry Mill, DMC-3100SH, on or about March 20, 2025. Abatement certification required within 15 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
