29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: At the jobsite located at 2015 E. Dale St. Springfield, MO 65803: Employees are exposed to pinch point and crushing hazards while operating CNC auto spinning machine number 5. During operation, employees manually hold a round metal blank against the chuck until the tail block securely contacts the blank to hold it in place. This manual handling creates a risk of fingers or hands being caught in the pinch points, potentially leading to serious injuries such as crushing or lacerations.
