29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) 379 Lake Shore Drive - On or about May 1, 2025 and at times prior thereto, employees were performing framing work on an unprotected side of a 5 story building roof approximately 50-feet above the ground with no fall protection in place. b) 79 Lake Shore Drive - On or about May 1, 2025 and at times prior thereto, an employee was performing framing work on an unprotected side of a 5 story building roof approximately 10-feet above the lower level with no fall protection in place. The JP United Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1740181, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on February 17, 2025, with respect to a workplace located at 62 Riverglen Dr. Thiells, NY 10984.

29 CFR employees were performing framing work on an unprotected side of a 5 story building roof approximately 50-feet above the ground with no fall protection in place. The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) 379 Lake Shore Drive - On or about May 1, 2025 and at times prior thereto, employees performing framing work on an unprotected side of a 5 story building roof approximately 50-feet above the ground were not provided training on how to minimize fall hazards. The JP United Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1740181, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on February 17, 2025, with respect to a workplace located at 62 Riverglen Dr. Thiells, NY 10984.
